about

The first 'proper' release by us under the Hesper Payne name. The band was no longer just me on my own after recruiting Ian from my other band Minethorn and finding Richard in a tavern somewhere. A number of songs where written but only four where deemed good enough to be recorded, the one that didnt make the cut was called 'Children of Mordiggian'. A slow groovy number, it had a cocky swagger to the main riff that some how disturbed the flow of the other three. It was online for a bit a few years ago and may surface again at sometime in another odds and ends collection.

There is also another version of 'Litany of the Drowners' that was played live at our first show in 2007, the main riffs were given more variation and the clean section was left out. A demo of this was recorded with Dan from MDB on drums in his kitchen whilst rehearsing for the gig.

Dreamer was released as a CDR with home printed art in a run of 50, most of which were traded with and sold by Psychodoomelic records. It was reissued in 2007 with a bonus demo track called 'The Sleeper under Roseberry' which was a proto version of 'Horcums Slumber' from the Titans EP
